Hi All,
I thought I would share my top tip for replacing the cables on the rear tail gate regulator.
I purchased a set of replacement cables and followed the process out lined in the youtube link below
Freelander Tailgate window regulator repair work - YouTube
Now. All was going well and I managed to get to the stage at 3mins 19 secs. Now at this point you realise that to get the second locater in place you need to create a great deal of tension on the cables. You ideally need a third hand.
So to save yourself a great deal of heartache and pain just do as shown in the following image and you will find the process super simple!!
By using the clamp in this way you are able to take off all of the tension in the length of cable that you need to overcome to get the final cable into the required location.
Hope that helps anyone having to tackle this anytime soon.
