The plug and socket on my T-Max 12500lb winch are getting corroded, so I'm thinking should I replace with new replacement parts or splash out and fit a wireless remote control arrangement?
Any advice on wireless remote systems that are available will be gratefully received....
Timpo.

I don't have a winch but from what I've read, there can be some problems with a wireless controller which on the face of it might seem not to be too significant, but can be quite a safety hazard.
There can be a slight delay between pressing the button and the winch doing what it's supposed to do. Might not seem to much of a problem in the normal run of things but what if you have to stop the winch quickly in an emergency and the wireless controller decides that a delay might be good or there's some radio interference around at that moment? What happens if the battery in the controller chooses that moment to go flat?
As I said, I don't have a winch, but if I did I would prefer to have immediate and accurate control over it provided by a cabled controller.
