I want to attach a better valve connector (and gauge) to my T-Max compressor.
But the connectors on the pipes don't look like PCL Vertex ones.
Anyone here know what type the connectors are?

I'm thinking of getting one of these: Draper 79529

Can anyone suggest a simple way of adding this to my compressor?

Lastly, I am unsure about the the valve connector on this Draper kit.
Is it ok? Or is there an alternative I should be getting instead?
(If I can avoid kneeling in the mud when pumping the tyres it'd be nice)

Cheers

Well that draper thing looks like a standard 1/4 BSP male fitting. So you can easily fit pcl vertex type connectors to it. Screwfix are quite good for those fittings price wise.

Don't know what your compressor has though, do you have any pics of that? Also, did the compressor come with an airline?

:nopics: :)

Are these a different standard?

Turned out the connections were non standard - well non standard in the UK.

The compressor came with a nasty tyre inflator with one of these connectors at one end - I took that to a local 'air' company and they cut off the tyre adaptor and crimped on a 1/4" bsp connector - thus making an adaptor pipe.

They charged me a tenner and that included an extra male and female connector - not too sure what use they are but I took 'em anyways!

I then went out and bought a draper tyre inflator with gauge - much nicer.

Next I'll get myself a 10m hose for it, some sort of mains based power supply and pretend I'm a tyre changing garage :)

More seriously though, is there a way to run one of these compressors from the mains - rather than popping the bonnet of the car etc etc

Maybe some combination of battery charger and car battery would suffice....

I know these are old post but I've found out what the connectors used by T-Max are.

They are PCL KF
(these are interchangeable with Rectus 13, Nitto Kohki 200, CEJN 314/315)

There are various couplings available (Female) to take either hoses or to BSPT or BSPP threaded ends. The same applies to the Adaptor (Male).
