I've just put up a used Synergy2 in classifieds in case anyone is interested.
 
I think your problem might be that roverron sells new ones without broken connectors & full warranty for £179 (double checked this price today).
 
It's still fifty quid off new, but offers welcome of course:)
The broken clip really is a non-issue, a small cable tie does the job very well.
 
think most would rather a bigger discount like 50% off new or pay the extra and get one with a warranty
