@Nodge68
Here yer go mate. A nice wee project for you. 😋
Not for me Ali.
I've just been looking at a TD4 Sport 3dr locally, then I checked the RFL cost. It was £415 PA, which is ridiculous IMO.
I'm not convinced I'll be happy handing over that much cash to drive a car 3k miles per year.

I was in the same boat with my old MGF and I was driving even fewer miles, it's the main reason I got rid.
I see it differently with my EV as it was a three year project that will probably go on even longer, having said that between tax and insurance it is a very expensive toy. 😟
It's a pity that this car wasn't closer to me as it is a 2000 model so I could get free road tax with it but I don't think I will be doing that. If I were to do it again I would go for a RWD Beemer or Merc that I could put a Lexus transmission into. That way there would be loads of room under the bonnet for batteries.

Is that the black 2006 one in Looe? If so it looks great for the age and mileage. The interior looks nowhere near like a 165k car. I'd be the same though. It has to be 2005 or older because of the tax.

Yes, that's the one. I asked the seller what the RFL was. He said he couldn't remember, but thinks it's £200. Thinking £200 sounded cheap I then looked it up to find it would be £415 or nearly £700. I don't trust the seller as he wouldn't give me the Reg or VIN number, so I couldn't check the history.
