my 04 disco 2 wanders on bumpy roads and as i have changed shocks and tyres i am considering changing to a terrafirrma steering damper but would like some advice on symptoms of a failing damper

dont get a death wobble as such but it tramlines loads
18" wheels fitted if that makes a difference

Do you get a bit more than usual feedback/shaking when you do hit a bump? Tram linings usually width of tyres.

it seems planted over bumps but tramlines on uneven surfaces i think i will change it anyway as its not a major expense

Tyres? I changed from Goodyear Wranglers to Grabber ATs on my Disco, and the difference was stunning. Now rock solid on the waviest of dual carriageways, such as that rutted bit of the A38 outside the Toyota factory at Burnaston
