Swivel

I ended up taking best part of a fortnight to do mine! Got the swivels in good time but discovered the CV joints could do with replacing so had to wait for them, then decided to renew the discs and hoses and stuff so had to wait for them. It's an easy enough job to do, if you do the CV's you'll need the odd special tool. I put some pics in the gallery bit that might help.

Thank you grunt. I need to use me landy to git to work tho.:( I can't have her orf the road for two weeks. I know its gonna be one of those jobs that snowballs into other jobs and before you know it yer landrover is just like 'Triggers broom' in 'only fools and horses'.
 
So as yer in a gud mood hun, are yer eggsited yet fer yer landy??? PLEEEEEZE say yer are!! I'm still eggsited about yer landy!!
 
the one shot or grease oil mix is only a temporary solution if seals are badly worn, but it certainly slows down the loss of lube. To replace seals the hub nuts do not need to be disturbed, remove brake caliper, remove track rod ends from hub, undo the 12 sided bolts that hold the swivel assembly to the end of the axle tube and remove the whole assembly with driveshaft/cv etc all in one, the seal is situated at the back of the hub housing so even if you stripped it from the hub nut side you would still have to remove all the swivel assembly seperately taking much longer and all requiring adjustment afterwards. I did both sides on my previous Disco in under 3hours (at home not in workshop). Castrol LM is fine to use in the mix with EP90 (I have in the past used neat STP and that also works)
