An update to this thread.
I’ve encountered the exact same issue with new parts not having the machined landing surface for the bronze sleeve on the shaft.
My solution has been to give it to friendly machinists - who for £80 will machine the surface in two of said swivel balls. If you’re in the Bristol area, they are “D&S Machining” of Yate area.
Hope that helps.
Thanks for the reply, yes, that's a good solution but I still can't see why despite there being so many rangerover classics /early Disco1's needing this type of ball that one of the parts manufacturers isn't actually making it... .

Super Late reply - this thread was very helpful for me in replacing my swivel balls on my 90' non-ABS RRC. Just sorted this week. I ordered the supposedly correct FRC7065 from Paddock - FRC7065 is 100% NOT correct and is the same as the FTC5366 with the beveled center bore. Box and label had the old part number - but they are the same part. If you have this problem - do NOT waste time ordering from Paddock or LRDirect - just find a well used part on eBay where you can see the accurate photos of what you are buying or have the incorrect FTC5366 machined as was suggested earlier in this thread. If you believe you have one lined up - call the shop first and have someone do a quick visual check before wasting your time.

Resurrecting an old Thread but thought it may help others fitting swivel balls on RR classic and early Disco 200tdi
I purchased two Britpart kits DA3163G swivel kits and they are machined to accept the half shaft thrust washer,

updating a very old thread... but I temporarily replaced the seals for the MOT, then been off the road since Oct 2019 anyway (due to seized injection pump.... causing the cambelt to snap..).... now getting it back on the road, and returned to this again..... and now taking it off, with the bronze bush and taking to a well known Norfolk LR specialist I can visit and drop off (now we can travel with restrictions eased... as their shop is now open for customers.) to get them to match it up.... ie. not pay yet more money for mail order and returns. And as mentioned previously, if it does indeed turn out they were old stock and impossible to now obtain (now another 2 years on from this thread...) I will get a local machinists to modify it.
