I've got rain water dripping on the passenger front seat but only since I removed the cassette to recover the sun shade then replaced it so the bus was still useable whilst I recovered the headliner.
Between the roof skin and the cassette frame there is a foam seal running all the way round which didn't look brilliant but at the time I thought it was just a bit of cushioning to avoid rattles or some such..
The headliner is now ready to go back in but I thought it would be a good idea to find the leak first and fix that incase the cassette has to come out again (and it does, so no headliner going back in today)
This foam seal isn't touching the roof and it's not really a water tight seal anyway or even meant to be, its a water deflector really but also has some draught proof and water stopping abilities.
Any water that gets past the GLASS seal ends up in a trough which has the 4 drain tubes in it. This foam seal(looks like the stuff you fit around draughty windows that comes on a roll) fits just out board the return lip on the roof body lip and is clued to the flat surface of the cassette. Any water getting past the glass seal drips down the roof body lip,down the face of the foam seal and into the trough and down the drains.
My foam seal is not even reaching the body roof lip so there is a gap for water to get into the cab before it reaches the trough.
My initial thoughts are to remove the cassette and purchase suitable foam strip, it's quite rigid closed cell stuff ,and refit.
However ,the roof skin bulges outwards in the front 2 corners (where the gap is) so I suspect the foam seal is shaped, being taller in this area so a bit more faff.
I can't find this foam seal by googling and I suspect its not available as a part anyway but if anyone knows different speak up.
Other than that the whole cassette is in excellent condition.
