right guys

got a problem with my landy. when i put my foot down it sways to the left and soon as i let of it sways back to the right :S as soon as you put you foot down it drives of to the left so i have to turn the steering to the right slighty as soon i let of the peddle it goes flying over to the right and have to compisate this by turn the wheel to the left slight while drving in a stright line. any ideas ?

ive come across that often and is usualy axle moving id check trailing arm bushes bolts ,bracket holes for elongation etc same with front if backs okay

I'd go along with the axle moving.

I think more likely the panhard links allowing an axle to move out of line, not resisting the torque from the diff sufficiently I think the radius arms are for castor correction only (scrubs tyres off if not right) but they can move to so don't disregard.

Check fittings / bolts / bushes at both ends of the front and rear rods, check for cracks in chassis mount and axle mount points just in case too. Not forgetting corrosion at the back.

mine did this on way back from lakes.... terrifying!!!!!

it was the rear trailing arm to chassis bushes... they were new before the trip and lasted a whole weekend (britpart for ya)..

make sure the big nut on the end is tight, and i mean "f" tight!

they are a nylock so should be replaced with new not re-used..

bushes aint dear, not even the good ones... lol... and usually come with all nuts n bolts needed, but make sure when ya order..

theres absolutely nothing wrong with reusing the nyloc nuts as long as there tight and rechecked after a test drive,i must have reused thousands with no issues though i did once not tighten one fully nipped it up never an issue again

i got the idea they were supposed to be single use?

dunno where from?

could be one of them urban legends i guess...
