Another newbe question!

The suspension compressor on the nearside chassis sounds as if it is running for circa 30 seconds every time I turn the ignition on. Is this normal? Hopefully bags are ok, I will pump up and spray some soapy water around to make sure they are not getting porous. I'm not sure when / if they have been renewed.

Hi,

Sounds normal to me, however I've just replaced mine with springs.

Someone with much better knowledge than me will be along soon

If you are a heavy guy or you travel much with passengers when you leave the car the system will drop some air to relevel as there was more pressure in the bags to keep it even with the load in...then when you hop in again it starts the compressor to compensate the load again...that's how it works...as long as it's not on the bump stops or visually too low it's no problem
