Had a suspected issue with suspension/bushes for a while now, squeaking dependant on road speed, which disappears when braking or turning the steering wheel slightly. Brakes violently pull in either direction unless steering wheel is used to correct it (I know this sounds really dangerous, but I've got the hang of it now and always stop it in a straight line)

Due to having a series 3 as a daily driver before this took over the duty, I'm pretty much tuned out to squeaking, dodgy brakes, and vague steering - have suspected bushes somewhere that are faulty, first thought was dodgy brakes (sticky caliper?) but the pad wear looks the same on both sides so I've sort of discounted it...

It's been on the 'to do' list to sort out for a few weeks now...but I'm just wondering if this could be related too....

Couple of weeks ago I was travelling down the middle lane of a dual carriageway (A46 south, between Stivichall and Stoneleigh) and cruising at about 65, when it started slowing down, kick down made it start coughing and spluttering and the temperature gauge went to the red. Limped it off, pulled over and couldn't find anything wrong, thought it might have been something in the fuel filter, and has been fine for at least two weeks...and done lots of miles in that time.

Thought nothing of it, and assumed whatever was in the fuel filter had budged and it was now OK, however today I travelled down exactly the same bit of road...and exactly the same thing happened!

Could this be related, my thinking is something to do with the camber of that lane coupled with potentially dodgy bushes causing something to not 'drive' right?

I know it's a big post but any advice on where to start is much appreciated!
