sunroof leaks

hi i wonder if any one could help i have problem with my sunroofs leaking front slight rear more of a leak but the rear will not open with the electrics is it just the seals?its a 1998 v8

I am fairly new here also and we appear to have similar problems. I have investigated mine and know that I have a blocked drain off pipe and the water overflows onto the drive motor. This becomes siezed and unable to open the sunroof to get to the source problem. ''Follow your instincts'' to get to the motor and remove it from the car. If you have made access to the front and rear motors you can connect the faulty motor to the wiring of the good(front) one as a check. If it still does not work you need to take out 3 screws to take the motor apart. Be carefull when removing the brushes, thoughly clean the whole interior and reassemble.
That'sa the easy bit; the difficult bit is to find the way around this website to learn from the replies that others have received, to the question, 'How do you locate and get to clean the drain offs'
On the good side I can pour water in at the top (now that I can open the sunroof) and I can see it come onto the ground at the bottom, but I cannot find the 'bottom' of the drain off tube in order to rod it. Neither can I get anything to enter from the top end.
Maybe some of the senior members can give some guidance that will benefit both of us, as the qhestion has been asked in the past (once by 'nemo 2') but I cannot find the replies.

Can anybody help please?

WHAT FOR ?????

Wait till there has been no rain for a week.
Use clear silicone mastic to seal all round the sunroof gaps on the roof.
Then use gaffer-tape pressed firmly down over all the gaps.

No more leaks.

My TD5 Disco has not leaked yet - but it has no sunroofs either.

i rub some vasaline one the rubbers of mine about twice a year, but then they are manual sun roofs.
