electric s/roof bust one guider, pass side, anybody fitted one or know the procedure ,summers on it's way i think?
cheers

this is a relitively easy procedure if your mechanically minded allthough you will get greasy fingers, you will need to remove the interior light, release the motor from its fixings-torx 25 i think, there is a spacer on the centre screw (dont lose), the rails are held in place by 3-4 torx screws, pull out rails, it is advisable to replace the runners as a pair, when refitting the new ones they will come in the open position, you need to insert the cables and align both runners so they are in line with each other, then refit clamps and screws, oh also first thing you need to do is remove the glass that is held in by 6 t20 torx screws

Last thread correct [but dont forget to line the runners with a vasaline or silocone base grease ], and for you guys that have not got this problem, re grease every year [will save the same problem in the long run]. . .:)

great, looks like a weekend job coming up,the one thing with the freelander is you certianly get to know the thing inside and out,if they had made a reliable one they'd have a world beater on there hands,
cheers

Last year my right hand side (for you uk guys the driver's side) guider broke down, I was able to fix it with a small Parker screw and some tiny wire. I tried it 'once' and it worked, so now I am not going to open it up again anymore, just tilt it at most.
