Series 3 Sunny day pic and a steering clunk question

Just got back in from a cycle past the exact spot where you took your picture, nice easy sunken lane down that dead end road, best done when its raining heavily as it turns into a shallow river.

Small world! Yes I’ve done the lane a couple of times both in the Landy and on my scrambler. You must be very local? I’m just a couple of minutes from where the pic was taken.

I'm about half an hour away on the bike so that's about 45 mins away in the landy .

Nice green SWB in the farm just up the hill from that spot.

Yes! I’ve seen that one there. Chatted to the owner once. It’s a 2.25 petrol in quite nice condition.

Update on my steering clunk - slight improvement from tightening U bolts. Will look at suggestions from @blue beasty next. (Thank you).

Bikini hood and bits have been ordered. Also found a tailgate, so looking forward to getting all that sorted. I’ll put up a separate post next week on that.

Overhead yesterday between grandfather and grandson in local village as I was getting back in to the Landy: “that’s a Jeep”...
I took a moment to smile, wave and make suitable corrections.

I'd be interested to see how you get on the the bikini hood, supplier, cost etc... I'm still torn

I’ve had a look and tightened shackle very slightly, but the U bolts accepted quite a lot of nipping up. I’ll test tomorrow once rain stops and see if it’s helped.

Don't forget to check the steering relay in the front crossmember.It can dry out if the seals are shot.
