Hi all,

Have come in search of wisdom:) I have a 2003 Range Rover, and I know that spring has arrived....because my car's alarm goes off by itself if parked somewhere sunny.
Several visits to the local main dealer - they don't know why it goes off....or rather, they charged me for replacing something that they thought it might be....then it did the same thing again this year.
If anyone else has heard of a similar problem, any help/advice most welcome.
Many thanks, Pete

what did they replace? what shape car is the 2003? l322?

try the little bonnet switch, i think its at the back right corner, tape a penny or two to it, its probably the bonnet expanding under the heat of the sun and moving away from the switch!! hope this helps ya!

Thanks! It's a "new" shape one (sorry -I don't know the model number).
I'll try the bonnet, as the local main dealer seems to be guessing again!

I had the same problem, every morning between 8 and 10 am my alarm would go when car got warm in the morning sun, i got so i never locked it, a while later my drivers door latch was playing up, getting message "drivers door not closed" replaced drivers door latch and alarm never went off again
