Sunglasses holder removal

Morning all,


Try to tidy up my Freelander whilst keeping it on the road, and one easy [I thought] step was the removal of the sunglasses holder mounted above the rear view mirror.


Two piece hole blank removed and two screws taken out and...nothing. I'm obviously missing something.


I've tried searching the forum but it must go by some other name as I can't turn out anything.


Anyone able to fill me in?

There are a further three screws holding it in, under the roof lining.

I filled mine with a custom flush fit switch panel. So much more useful now!

That's all a bit belt and braces isn't it? I haven't weighed my sunglasses recently but I doubt they'd trouble the two screws visible and a couple of plastic lugs!
