They are listed in the parts list. But i worked on them when they first came out, cannot remember one fitted with Strombergs, they were all SU equipped if i recall correctly.

From my FC 101 repair manuel...

As far as i recall SU had a fixed needle with a jet adjustment nut on the bottom. And Stromberg a fixed jet and the needle adjuster inside the dashpot.

The zenith-stromberg 175 cd2s as fitted to my 101V8 have the jet adjustment on the base of the fuel bowl the needle is fixed...

Have same sort of stuff in garage somewhere. It's a big untidy place these days.

maybe a time to “hand me down”

I know I am very unlikely to use it this day & age on any I own, but nice to have, if ever 1 comes along:). But the Suck gauge is still handy for the bike:)
Tuning an engine manually and sound is a lost art:(

That is what i remember about them, but then again i have said it was a long time ago. As said i cannot remember working on a Classic fitted with Strombergs. I only recall SUs.

When i first got the 101as a non-runner with the repair manual everytime i googled for LR V8 carbs only SU came up v,confusing at the time as it didnt match the manual

My memory is going to pot, I remember the bottom adjustment from those pictures and something similar on the SU.
The needle adjustment I was thinking about was done with little circlips fitted in grooves in the needle and I think must have been the Delorto carb on the F750 but could have been a motorbike carb.

Never see a car carb using that method bikes do for sure.
