Help. Seriously. Stuck in Belgium.
Bought a Freelander facelift auto hse two days ago and the sodding thing blew up in Belgium yesterday just past Antwerp. I think the turbo overran, loads of smoke, police, fire brigade, the works, and A2 in Tielt was blocked for about half hour. Main thing though is missus and kids ok.
Upshot of all this though is I need a recovery truck to get back to UK.
MasterCard have said if I accept a repair I'll be liable, but if I can get it back to UK to place where I bought it can pick it up , they'll claim back the payment.
I'm not making this stuff up, I'll get my daughter to post the incident on YouTube later.
If anyone can help please send me an email and I'll get back to you.
The car is currently in Heerentals BE-2200 and I need to get back to Essex.
Please bare in mind car cost 4k so I can't spend a fortune getting it back.
Here's hoping.

I bought intntl breakdown cover when I got the Landy but it's useless. They require full service history which it wasn't sold with so I've been mugged off.
I'm not poncing a freebie, I just need a quote for pick up and return to Essex. What am I looking at here? 500, 600, a grand?

Thanks for all your help guys, really appreciate it., especially madhatman and Kris.
A company called Pierce recovery are coming to get us.
If you want to see it die go to

Bless you all.

handbrake on, footbrake on and in gear.

Ah, the wonders of teenagers with smartphones. Glad everyone's OK. inconvenient and expensive I know, but it looks like everybody's survived in one piece.
