Hi,
Really struggling to find a right-hand swivel housing to convert my Disco front axle to LHD. The bay of E is bare, and the usual sellers want the best part of £200. Any advice (or better yet, anyone got a used one kicking around?)

I know a few fellow Landy owners and shops in Portugal who would probably post the parts you need.

If you need any help, let me know and I can get you their contacts.

It's just the right hand swivel housing (pic in first post) I'm missing. Not sure on part number - will check ABS / non ABS.

Have you tried "Foley Specialist Vehicles" near Harlow in Essex......01279. 793500.

They build/prepair vehicles for safari, special vehicles, television work and they used to deal in all military vehicles when they were in North London.

Is that for the 200 or 300 tdi? I found someone who has them in stock, just need to know for which Disco it is.

Hang on a mo while I do a happy dance in the living room (Big bloke, overalls, big Sports Direct mug of tea... OK, maybe I'll remain sitting, for the sake of anyone unfortunate enough to have to see me dancing). It's a 300tdi. Well, it's an oddball based on a 300tdi donor; I'm building a one-off high-mobility vehicle for a hospital in Madagascar. At least, I'm trying to - scratchbuilding is a long job!

Seriously, thanks very much. I'd be really glad to have one of these parts on its way.

Hahaha, that's not an image I would like to remember...

Right, I'll let the guy know and will come back with prices and shipping (hopefully he'll ship to England)

Tim, are you still looking for this part? Got a couple of guys that gave me a price already. I'll get you in touch with them if you decide to go forward with it.

Also, I found a new LHD right here in the UK, but the price is very different from a used one...

Hi,
That's excellent news. Yes please, very much still interested. Agreed re: new vs used - when one new swivel costs as much as two or three used axles, it's time to rethink :)

Tim, I'll get the email addresses for you and you can discuss with them directly, or if you have Facebook, I'll link to their profiles. I had 2 or 3 people offering the part.

(yes, this is a thread bump - just didn't want it to drop off the bottom of the page!)

Sorry Tim!

I get no notifications since I use Tapatalk and Landyzone isn't on it...

Please find below the Facebook contacts I found. Shoot them a message and if you have any issues, please let me know!

...and then he went quiet. Another found that postage was more than the cost of the part.
More generally - could I use one off a later Defender? The RH and LH sides both have arms for a drag link. Any reason one of these wouldn't fit a Disco axle?
