Stub Axle differences

Had a rear bearing collapse on my 300 the other night

it ended up completely shagging the stub axle and hub

Got it all off ok and sourced a replacement, however when going to fit the stub axle I noticed it had a needle bearing on the inside and the one i took off didnt

Any reason and is it an issue

you have front one ,you want ftc3188 ,bearing supports cv in front axle

Technically though is there any reason it cant be used even as a short term measure?

i have just bought a pair of rear hubs off ebay but i need to use the disco on Sunday and am not sure if they will be here in time

never tried ,i suppose you could check dimensions ,bearing hub same front and back as are drive members just if shaft will go through and if it will bolt to axle end ,but definately wont work if abs as sensor goes through stub axle
