Stub Axle Bolts

Just about ready to put Backing Plates back on Salisbury rear axle,
Probably another stupid question but can I use these bolts in photo ?
Ones on top are the original that were in but I have a few of these new ones on the bottom, I know they are slightly longer but they are threaded all the way will it make any diference ??

i wouldnt use the set screws use the proper bolts,the shank acts as a dowel

Are these the correct gaskets for mine which is 1987 110 Salisbury axle ?? https://www.lrdirect.com/Parts-by-Model/Defender-Parts/Axle-Rear/Drive-Shafts-Rear/FTC3649-Gasket/
Paddocks don't stock them,

Just another quick one, should I use gasket sealer with these paper gaskets are just use them on there own??

a very little to hold them in place and let dry for 5mins or so, too much and they will spilt
