,,, and if they have ,, to those of you that do go off track up there ITS COZ OF YOU IF THEY HAVE  well done !!

Plod/Glass/Crag often run operations to catch tossers doing a bit of illegal offroading, If you stay on the legal lanes and your landy is legal there shouldn't be a problem..

You're legal intcha buttie?

Well it seems to be getting worse. Was on the Wayfarer last weekend and that's getting churned up too at the top.

 who meeeeeee legal  lol yeah all ok m8 but need our top man now to lead the way :D as we got some newbie's coming out with us 2moz lol
well i dont know if they have shut the lane or not ?? i'll take a look 2moz an find out   or it was they wer just stoppin and seein if the 4x4's are road worthy ....

will see 2moz but a long way to go to find out they shut it :( but think we would of heard summit tho

I am a member of the "West Wales Laning" on Facebook and there has been no discussion on this at all. I would therefore assume that there are no issues with Strata and that if the reports of police on it were correct (no reason why they wouldn't be) then it would be simply as said above ensuring that you are legal etc.

Personally the more times the police do this the better, that way we may just manage to keep the lanes open!

well mac ya best do some looking as its in the mid wales journal page 2
and its says (yeah just got the paper :( so here is wot they say )

OFF ROAD VEHICLES WRECKED PATHWAY ....

the ancient monk's trod path between abbeys of cwm-hir and strata florida
has been closed by powys county council because of damage caused by motorcyces and off road vehicles, rhayader town councillors heard that the decision was taken at the cabinet meeting of the pcc 6th January and that the estimated cost of repairs was £150,000 in the current economie climate it is unlikely that funding can be found to carry out the work in the short term, walkers (****ers) have questioned the legality of closing the path, witch has became impassable on foot with tyre tracks full with deep water.
couneillor claire evans said '' we should be doing everything we can to encourage walkers'' (****ers)
couneillor john jones said that he had walked a section of the path recentle and the damage was severe with water up to 4ft deep in places '' i saw some offroad vehicles still using the rout witch is somthing that must be stopped.'' it is a large remote area witch is difficult to police and the local officers do there best to provent illegal offroading. he said '' but it is a problem that can only get worse and we need to find a solution.'' councillors kelvyn curry said '' the kind of money required for reapirs is just not available there is nothing illegal about walking a few feet either side of the path so the order is practically unenforcable''

so then to all wot ya make of that hey :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
and that is word for word wot i copied from the paper:(:(:(:(
so its been shut since the 6th of jan yeah !!!! good job i did not go that way today then

dunno but the Abbey at Cwm-hir is 20miles from strata startpoint and strata has always been floode Part of the route follows the river..

:( yeah i know and they go on about monks trod ??? thats i think wot they shut a long time ago .... it starts the top side of the dams and is the lane that used to go over to strata skipping the dams ''

Monks Trod is the one in the article, NOT STRATA FLORIDA!! Had this confirmed by John Askew at West Wales Laning.

Monks trod has had a TRO on it for a while now, the proposal on the table is to make it permanent. The powers that be are on the case but it will be a long slog.
