Strata Florida track in my tratter

Fair assumption, I am fairly competent off road and the front tyres are legal but not as chunky as they once were!
Mechanically the vehicle is looked after by a local Landrover specialist I’ve never had a problem with it breaking down.
We are staying very close to the strata Florida route so it’s just an idea at the moment.
Wasn't particularly the tread I was thinking of, most tyres will be fine in dry conditions or on hard ground.

But tyres that are well worn are more likely to get punctures.

A few years back.

Think there was a deeper water crossing too, but haven't got any pics of it.

Well I decided to come in the road car so will leave the strata Florida for another visit, those river crossings look quite deep to me, also the hours of bumping about may be too much for a kid - I remember getting stuck in a ford (in a ford) once and it wasn’t fun!
Maybe I’ll look out for some short local off road tracks, there is a steep track near nailsworth up the W - I will have another go up that short and sweet. I guess it’s about finding the balance between a challenge and it being legal. Any stroudies know of some good tracks!?!?

You might have a look at CCROC (Cheltenham & Cotswolds Rover Owners Club), I was a member for a lot of years until we moved to France, I have lost touch with the club so don't know what they do nowadays, but we used to have a fair few green lane days all around Glos/Wilts/Hereford/the forest etc.

As far as SF is concerned I was part of a group that were staying in the area and were going to drive it, a couple of club members were a bit windy about damage so I led them for a day on softer trails. Still very scenic, and challenging in places but non damaging. Of course I can't remember the route we drove and there is no chance of me still having the marked up maps to hand.

There’s a very short steep track on The W and another that brings you out on Scar Hill from memory.

I was a member for some years in the 2000’s. They’re still going, mainly doing trialling and the odd greenlane day.
