Disco 2 Strange vacuum hose

Hi all. Just been changing my air filter in td5 and I've noticed a vacuum hose which ends just near air box, it's not connected to anything ,hanging down on radiator .The beginning of that hose is in vacuum valve on the driver's side of the engine, goes over radiator and ends nowhere. Is that supposed to be plugged somewhere? Or just reading atmospheric pressure?

if it is the one I am thinking of,

there is a hose that connects to a small connector on the side of the air box.

But a photo would help.

That pipe is a vent hose which supposed to be connected to the airbox, it's from EGR on Eu3 version
