Hi.

I recalibrated my suspension about 3 months ago with the RSW Solutions software. All was good until two weeks ago. One morning i found the car just as i left it (on standard height) put ignition on, started the engine and right after the engine started the back of the car lowered to the bump stops and the front still on standard ( and the light on the dash showed me the car is on standard height). Turned of the engine and instantly the front lowered too. This only happens if i leave the car overnight, i left it for 6 hours and it was all good. Sometimes..after i stop the engine and start it again (car on bump stops on all 4 corners) the light on the dash still indicates standard height...but only sometimes...it mostly detects the car as being in access mode and trying to pump up the airbags.

This is really driving me nuts as it takes about 10 min to raise to standard from bump stops.

Part and re-make the connectors in the EAS box especially the one under the valve block. Check the connectors for corrosion behind the kick panel front left hand side.
have you checked for faults with the RSW software?

NRV 1 and 2 are leaking. NRV 1 holds pressure in tank. Tank is losing pressure. NRV 2 prevents air in bags from flowing into empty tank when inlet valve and solenoid valves open to raise car if tank is empty.

Can they be not checked by testing for air coming out of the exhaust?:)

Yes as outlined earlier in another post. Back will always drop first if that happens followed by front. Because rear always lifts first for anti dazzle. Followed by front. So rear valves open first back drops, front valves open front drops. Air from bags goes into tank via duff NRV2. As long as compressor starts giving air and a sensor moves no fault will appear.

The RSW software doesn't show any faults. If NRV 1 is leaking shouldn't the compressor work non-stop? I don't think the compressor is working while the engine is running. I don't really know how the compressor should sound..OR it does work all the time and I thought that is just a normal sound from under the bonnet.

It depends how bad the leak is. No it won't run longer because it's pushing air past NRV1 into tank so it still takes the same time to fill. But it will run more often than it should if there is a leak. You only need a very slight leak to lower the tank pressure below the bag pressure after a few days. If there is more pressure in the bags than in the tank and NRV2 is duff air will flow into the tank when the rear valves and inlet valve open to lift the car on start up. It will lose a little height by natural levelling when the EAS wakes up every six hours or so over a few days if you have a slight leak somewhere. The system is designed to do that. So when you start, system wants to lift car back to standard, opens rear valves and because there is no air and NRV2 is leaking for whatever reason, it drops the back followed by front in it's natural progression. Start car and take cover off EAS box under bonnet you should see and hear compressor running. Do the checks on it in my "How to " at top of page. I would think either the compressor or diaphragm are faulty or both.
