Sorry its a long one. Went over bump, hey presto, three amigos. Plugged in Hawkeye, "ABS sensor broken wire, impedance too low etc front right wheel..
Inspected wire near sensor and it had rubbed on the hub and broken. Bought new sensor, installed it, plugged it in, Hawkeye still says broken wire etc and live data reading 0v.
Scratched head, looked at plug decided that the holes look slightly different to the old one so I cut off the old one and soldered it onto the new one. Plugged in Hawkeye and ... ..... No change, still 0 volt.
Oh also I have checked the impedance, 1050 ohms.
Update:- Plot thickens, sensor works ok out of the hub, 2.3volts, drops to zero when I push it into the hub. Pull it out 2.3 volts. Wires to the ECU all good.
Update Two :Bought another new sensor. Still reads broken wire on Hawkeye! This one reads 0 volts whether it is in the hub or not.
I have also checked the wiring all the way back to the ECU where its reads 1050ohms
Do you think the breaking of the wire could of fried the ECU?
Thanks in advance.
MOT imminent! !!!!!!
