Does anyone know of a good way to straighten a door frame? I bought one as the frame is rust free but it bends out at the top and bottom and effectively needs to be bent in at the top and bottom to fit properly. Anyone done this?

Usually its just the top thats bent out. Hang the door, wind the window down then close the door with a bit of wood against the jamb then push gently at the top until door fits tight.

Thanks Mick, I will give that a go. Looking at again last night I think it was stored with the weight on the top and probably leaning against a wall at such an angle it has bent in the middle.
Rest free Defender doors are rare so I feel obliged to save it !!

I've got a Defender back door that's bowed in the middle, has anyone ever had any luck trying to straighten one of these?

Bet you will find its cracked behind the door lock/handle as the weight of the spare wheel puts loads of stress on that point, I just bent mine in and welded it up, then fitted a spare wheel carrier and its been fine for well over a year now.

Yeah, i got a new door and fitted a Spare wheel carrier. Was keeping the door to try and fix, but moving house soon so might just give it away to a good home if anyone wants to collect it from Aberdeen Area?

On that note i've also got some middle row seat cushions if anybody needs them?
