Hi guys ..

I have seen that people have fitted a straight pipe and removed the middle box , makes the td5 sound very beefy .. I was just wondering will this effect emissions in the uk ..

Another reasons not to change to a straight pipe ..

its on a defender 110 , td5 , 98-99 Cheers .. .

It shouldn't affect emissions, the silencer reduces noise - not smoke. Removing the cat is a different matter.

Its a 99' td5, he wont have a cat!

i have a straight centre pipe on my 90, it sounds good but can certainly be very boomy on motorways. may be different on a 110, but I'm gonna be looking to swap it out for a bullet silencer from allisport/alivetuning/demand engineering.

@Hertz32 , fyi and if this helps...I have arranged a 15% discount with Demand Engineering for LZ Forum Members for either 1. a full exhaust system, or 2. a cat back system.
