Straight Through Exhaust TD5

Hi guys, new to the forum. Currently i am running my TD5 with no silencer or cat (potentially naughty i know) but does anyone know of any side affects to the engine from these mods..

Yea a tug by the bill. Other than that with the turbo charger i dont think it will be a problem, not like u need backpressure.

i got straight through on my td5 and a stage 2 chip nicely putting out 195 bhp and 425 nm of torgue

heard somewhere that some earlier td5's dont have a cat, might have heard wrong, anyone know?

Early TD5 dont have cats. In fact a simple mod to later TD5s is to fit an earlier TD5 downpipe and dump the cat completely.
Mine has no cat and a big bore (3") exhaust system with a single full bore straight through silencer at the rear end (no centre box). Sounds loverly and passes MOTs with no probs.

so a 2002 td5 has a cat so yea?
