Problem is if you show intent..by preparing your vehicle to harm others..nice but naughty...best way is to be able to catch them in the act and be able to prove 'reasonable force' to prevent them nicking it...a very grey area which wouldn't allow a bloody big baseball bat...but those handy little fire extinguishes are maybe ok..keep one by the door in case of theft, sorry, fire your honour..

However..be prepared to get the **** kicked out of you if there's a few you didn't see...eek

course it does....it tries to do an impossible job. I've fallen foul of it a few times and I'm no big fan but not really keen on potential victims deciding appropriate punishment either.....fooks sake sharia law would be a walk in the park in comparison

Personally, i think you should be able to use ANY force or means at your disposal to protect your own property. Anyone trying to nick it or break in clearly does not have permission to be there so should be open to any and all punishment or entrapment. There should be no limits on the method used or pain inflicted - don't want hurt then stay away - simples.
