I was out and about in the 90 today with my mate, up and down lanes running a few things around for the folks, having a company car it hasn't been getting the use it should so was nice to get it out, make use of the diff locks on some hills etc, when we came across a gent who had ended up nose first in a ditch on a bend, so being kind hearted we stopped and checked he was ok, and he was, just over cooked it and couldn't stop due to road conditions wet, snow, ice etc (his own admission), so in pouring rain and sub-zero temps we offered to pull him out and he was more than pleased to have our assistance. After unloading a load of stuff that was in the back to get a rope out, re-loading it, letting the chap sit in the front to warm-up a bit we connected up the rope and told the chap to jump in his to guide it out, when he decided that a negative slating of our local area, followed by telling me how I bought the wrong 4x4, the 90 is crap, and it's off-road ability is massively over stated (he drives a 206, which is nose 1st in a ditch), on asking if he wants out help or not he said 'it wont get it out anyway', so my mate un-hooked the rope from his Pug and we jumped bk in the 90 and drove off. On travelling back down the lane a few hours later, the car was still in the ditch, and in the next village we came across a wet, cold looking gent using a phone box, a quick beep and a cheerfull wave from us both was met with a wrist flicking gesture, but if he hadn't of decided to vent his oppinions a few hours earlier he'd have been home lol.
Rant over.

Ungreatful ****!!!:mad::mad:

Talk about bite the hand that feeds it.....should have pulled it out.....then kept goingto the next town 5miles away.

I couldn't believe it, if he'd of said it with some sort of rational argument or banter it would have been a laugh, but he was on a proper rant lol, maybe in a bit of shock or what I dunno, but neither of us could believe it lol.

I would have pulled the 206 out, just to prove to him that the defender could do it, and then reverse and push it back into the ditch.
