Stolen Defender 90 XS

I bought a 2006 Zambesi Silver Defender 90 XS on Saturday - and it was stolen last night. It was a beautiful car and took ages to source, so you can imagine my anger - aprticularly as the thief has had more use out of it that I have. If you see it let me know - or better still West Mercia police on 0300 333 3000. My first Land Rover - aarrgghh!

In my haste, I forgot to say it was stolen in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. Please keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks for the tea and sympathy and the responses. Yes - it sure does seem like a short time - opportunist maybe? I am surprised that with immobilisers alarms etc, this can happen. The reg is/was WR 06 JJU. I am confident it wasn't the seller - it was a reputable land rover dealer. I am told that unless it turns up quickly, the likelihood of it reappearing is small.

Are Land Rovers in general and Defenders in particular targeted more than other cars? I am tempted to have the attitude of 'Never mind the b*st***s, I will get another one; but it is tempered by some of the experiences I have read here!

Just have a read on the section you have posted... you'll see loads of threads about defenders being stolen...

If they want it, they will get it, all you can do is add as much security as you can

Get a disklok, fit a remote switch for starters...
