hi guys,
this is really bugging me now.
PO had put a Sony CD player in the car, only had sound from left hand speakers.
sourced a working alpine HU and plugged it in. had sound but no volume control.
discovered that PO had ripped out 5 wires on the blue plug in back of HU. managed to repair this and plugged all connectors back in to Alpine LR HU.
HU is operational, i can select all the stations, adjust bass, treble, fader, balance and DSP settings. CD changer is working and reads CD's and can change between them.
BUT STILL NO SOUND!
am i right in thinking the DSP amp is now fooked and time to think about either buying a new unit, or going the long way round and re-fitting with later equipment. amp, cross-overs and after market CD player.

PS, tried contacting Clarkey, but not seen him on for ages!
