Steve's unexpected Series 3 rebuild.

Hi. Quick question about these things. Part no 596490 locking tab for series manifolds.
First question is does anyone bother with them and then if so which bolts are they supposed to go to.
Mine didn't have any when I took it to bits but they're cheap so I thought I might as well do the job right. Now they're just confusing me.
Any thoughts please.

Personal preferences… chemical or mechanical thread locking.

Threadlock it is then. I can understand where that goes. Would it still be effective given the heat of where it's going?

My experience of manifold nuts is that they never come undone even with a sturdy spanner.

They do tend to become a bit of a fixture don't they.

Hello everyone. Another six months gone by. Some progress made but not as much as I should have. Lots of excuses. Mum had a big fall that left her needing an operation and a long recovery, covid for both me and my son, then add the day job, the other job and the family needs and all of a sudden there goes half a year. I'll put some photos on of what has been happening. See what you think.
