Steering

I want to convert my series 2 to power steering which rack would do the job best ? . It has a rover v8 in it which has a pump fitted so it's just the rack I need . Many thanks.

maybe a defender or the 90-110 type of steering box, i was just reading about a canadian bloke that did a swap the other day.
some use different steering boxes from other cars but it all depends on what mods you want to do to the chassis to fit it.

There are many ways to fit PAS. Either by use of hydraulic rams and the stock steering or using a new column and box. There is choice on the box and column, depending on you goal, cost and how you want to fit it. There are also people fitting Electric PAS too these days.

Hello, do you have any photos of the PAS pump mounting arrangement please?

I am just about to re-chassis my S1 with an SD1 3.5 and would like some ideas of how the pump goes while I can mock things up.
