I picked up a new 90 today when i got on the motor way after ten mile of driving around 60mph i got really bad steering wobble had to slow down then accelerate again was doing it every say 10 mile then when i got about 30 mile from home i had to come off the motorway and come a roads home. As it was getting more often and worse i managed to get home but now i cant go over say 30mph without the wobble coming in its definatly not the wheels need balancing could it be bushes on the radius arms or the steering damper it has polybushes in the radius arms and a rtc terrafirma steering damper on it. Or maybe wheel bearings?? This happend to anyone else. Say it wobbles around 30mph now it dont pull left or right just a real bad wobble on front wheels if i let go of the ateering wheel its sort or corrects it self and comes out the wobble but i cannot go over 30mph

Get it up on axle stands and give the wheels a good pull / push to see it there is movement in any of the steering joints or wheel bearings. Also worth making sure wheel nuts are torqued up correctly. As it is new to you its probably worth giving the whole thing a good once over to check all safety related items, also check all oil levels etc so you know where you stand regarding leaks

Just changed the wheels when i tighten the nuts on the back passenger wheel the axel moves forward and back wards would this corse the problem?

Most definitely, there's a bush either end of the trailing arm, or if it's moving a lot it could also be the bush of the A frame, although you usually get a metallic bang along with it when that's gone.

if you have bushes on the arms gone you will be getting A feeling of slight rear steer, as if you are correcting the steering all the time.

The landrover dont pull left or right feels like the two front wheels just rapidly go left and right scares **** outa me was happning every say ten mile but now every time i get to about 30mph

Death wobble. Usually the result of several issues including bad ball joints, weak steering damper, improper swivel pin tension, bad wheel bearings, poor shocks, sloppy steering box, degraded bushings and wheels out of balance.

So that narrows it down lol where shall i start?
You just have to start. With mine I started by replacing the steering damper. Then track rod (which bent under the force of the wobble) and all ball joints. Then panhard bush replacement. Then increasing the swivel pin pretension by shim removal and re-balancing the wheels.

It has a new rtc terrafirma damper on it
Well, you can check that off the list. ;) Have somebody give your steering wheel some action while you're underneath the beast and look for play in the ball joints while things are moving. Check the panhard bushes for play with a pry bar or other such lever. Check your wheels for play when they are off the ground. If you find that you have slop in wheel and it can be noticed when you give the wheel a wobble with your hands at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock as well as 12 and 6, then it's wheel bearings. If you can only detect play at 12 and 6 then look to your swivel pins.

I'd start with the rear end, there's no way the wheels should be moving when you're tightening the nuts. I remember when mine where worn it felt like the rear end wanted to overtake the front, also when I looked in the mirrors you could see the angle of the rear wheels change. Grab hold of the trail arms and give them a good shaking
