Hello - new member and delighted to be here.

Have just upgraded my much loved (159k miles) 2010 FL2 to a 2104 SE with more toys and fewer miles! Thing is, the toys don't work. Or at least not all of them! When I took delivery all was well, then the steering wheel switches for audio and phone both failed. (Top left, bottom right) Menu and cruise remained fine. Dealer was very good - took the car back and replaced the switch blocks on either side. All has been well for a month until yesterday when the same two failed again! It's not the fuse and as the horn, menu and cruise work fine I'm guessing its not the clockspring. I didn't have these toys on my older FL so I'm a bit in the dark and would appreciate any thoughts or experiences. Is this a thing with these switches? To have the exact same two go again seems uncanny. Fault or just coincidence?

The later switch pack is more complicated than the earlier switches, and if you had a base model, there might have been no switches at all.
The wheel switches are generally very reliable, and seldom give trouble. For the same ones to fail again, it suggests another issue somewhere. What do the failed switches do?

My thoughts exactly. The failed ones are the audio/radio one for volume/mode-select etc and the handsfree phone one.
Everything else fine.

Maybe the issue is with the infotainment system, rather than the switches themselves? It's probably best to have a diagnostic read done the system, as it might well point to the issue.
