I've replaced the complete swivels in my quest to lose the death shake, which it has mostly done and I've noticed the intermediate steering shaft has some play in it if I pull it sideways near the rubber bushed bit - later MA chassis no 300tdi - It doesn't seem to have any play in the normal turning/steerimg action though so I'm not sure if the sideways play should be there and I don't want to spent £50+ for nothing.

Any thoughts very welcome. thanks

The panhard rod and radius arm bushes look to be ok and I have had a large pry bar in there and not noticed anything alaming. Not getting any noises or clonks either but I do intend to replace all the suspension bushes in the near future as they do all look decidedly original 145000 mile/20 year old vintage. I've already fitted new front shocks and standard rubber bushes.

I've found 3 bush kits, purple Bearmach, orange flowflex and yellow britpart so if anyone has any recommendations or warnings about each version I'd be happy to hear'em.

ive used flowflex and not had any issues, if they are still original after 145k you doing really well. Bite the bullet and replace the lot. Have you checked the A frame bush.
