Today I fitted a set of fedima Extreme Mud Terrain tyres 265/70/R16 on the disco 1 trimmed the bits off that rubbed but when i adjusted the steering stops to stop tyres rubbing, the bolt needed to be far enough out that the stop nut came off.Has anyone else had this problem when using 110 rims and just fitting longer bolts would cure it?

fit longer bolts but sleeve them with thick walled tube m12 will bend easy that far out ,remove mud sheild if still on too

I only have 1" of bolt sticking out when it is flush on the dust shield side were the lock nut goes,so with lock nut on only 3/4" sticks out,is it possible I have the wrong bolts in the first place,I have heard they fitted 2 sizes on the D2 but not heard anything about the D1

there usually std across range early 110 had bigger ones but m12 longer set screws supported ,when wound out they will bend

So James you reckon mine are standard and replace with longer and sleeve, but why do you suggest removing dust shield mine is not rotton "yet"

because in my experience inside of disc is allways in worse condtion, the only different factor between sides is mudshield so i allways remove then your halfway there when doing lock stops
