So, swapped the axle on my 110 due to leaks and play in the old one.
And I was setting the limit bolts on the steering.

Turned left all the way until it hit the trailing arms, (roughly 2 turns of the wheel), set the bolts to stop it hitting and turned to the right.

So, this time it only goes so far and stops well shy of hitting the limit bolt and arm. (only 1 1/2 turns to the right). When the axle was on the floor, it went all the way to the stop,

Could the arm on the steering box be in the wrong position?

The cv's are not binding and correctly shimmed, old axle was the same. (stopped shy of the stops on the vehicle, but fine when disconnected) so I can only think its the box?

Is there a way to check the location of the arm, or is it keyed?

Whaddaya think?

Thought that might be the case! But just wanted to check, just go lock to lock and find the middle and rest the arm.

Cheers
The arm should have a grove so it can only go onto the down shaft in one orientation. The arm then has a slot that lines up with a hole on the box to centre it.

Finally got this sorted!

Removed the old drop arm, which came off surprisingly easy!
Rest the box, fitted new arm and adjusted the rods to suit, then straightened the steering wheel.

I can finally make it through the drive thru:D
