steering slack and heavy i think steering box is on its way out ?

hi i got a range rover classic last week its in vgc but the steering was little heavy its only fault so still brought it

anyway 200 miles later its got heavyer and there quite alot slack to

i think the steering box been tightend to much to take the slack up on worn box and now nackerd it totaly
any one else help on this ?

the fuild is at right level and pump working fine

anyone else think the same? dont want buy a new steering box to find it wasnt that lol

Worm shaft bearings will be shot and someone has tightened the sector shaft up to much to try and take out the play. Adjusting sector shaft intrusion onto piston rack will not remove shaft bearing play unfortunatly. Think you need it looking at.
