My 98 4.6 HSE just passed its MOT with ease, surprisingly. I was waiting on the MOT to see if the mechanic picked up on anything with the front end steering/suspension but he didnt.

If i hit a bump/pothole etc at 40+ mpg i get a shudder through the steering wheel. I'm sure i read somewhere that i can adjust something that will solve the problem. What, where and how do i go about this?

Also would duff steering dampers show up on the MOT? I remember i had duff rear ARB bushes on my last car that caused a clunk but wasn't mentioned on the MOT.

Cheers

Chris

Hi.

The things that don't get checked will never cease to amaze us all!
Steering wobble can be down to a multitude of things in the steering set up. Start with the steering damper, then see how it feels. It is just a process of replacing the worn parts of the suspension and steering. Mine was removed after new shocks, springs and damper.

Cheers, Nick.
