if you put your hand on the drag link and get someone to rock steering wheel you will feel were play is ,do the same with steering linkage to box
sorry but im a newby, weres the drag line and steering linkage ? pics would be great, was told it might be steering pump

Not the pump! Like James says check the drag link and drop arm ball joints ( I had the same problem and was the
Drop arm) if you look from the front you will see a bar go from the steering box ( left hand side as you're looking at it) to the right hand side hub this is the drag link

Also worth checking steering column UJs but more likely to be what the guys suggest
