Steering guard

Hi guys I have got myself a steering guard off cheapBay for my 2004 disco Td5 it looks very similar to a mantec all I know is it is from john craddock 8mm aluminium comes with a back plate two brackets either end etc. I have figured out how it goes together but have a few niggles this fits onto the chassis where the original u shaped tube/steering guard is bolted on with two bolts either side the one which has the 3 screws attached from the bumper do I remove the original tube steering guard to fit this . Cheers guys I have been searching but cannot find any fitting diagrams.
