its not a home made gaurd, its a D44 one from devon 4x4,
the thing drove really mint when i got it, i put all the bumpers lift kit and gaurds on it,
it now is a bit wondery with the insa turbos on.
if it does not have one what do i do to make it have one?

Did you fit castor correction radius arms or bushes?

Have you had the tracking done?

I bent my trackrods and fitted new ones. It was a bit wondery until I got the tracking redone. It was only 1.5mm out but made a hell of a diffence. I have Insa turbo special tracks fitted.

did not fit correction arms but a m having bushes done soon,
no i aint had i tracked, i went to garage to get it done but machine bits would not go over my wheels so they dint do it, might try elswhere to get it done

Glad you've found it.
Not sure about buying a new one though, it shouldn't make a blind bit of difference to normal day to day driving.
If you have dodgy steering better to sort the problem not try and mask it.

i can see what your saying but before i put the tires on it drove perfect so it can only be a combination of big off road tires, tracking.
ordered damper now anyway and off to try and get tracking done tommorow

The steering damper prevents wheel wobble and dampens harsh jolts.

Castor correction bushes and tracking are more likely to sort out the wandering steering.

I put a new steering damper on any landy I buy ASAP as they are generally FUBAR'd.

Most normal tyres are rounded on th edges. Extreme knobblys have quite a harsh outter edge that is more like a right angle. This means that if your tracking is out in the slightest your steering feels over responsive as you are in effect driving on a knife edge.
