Steering arms/track rod ends

Hi,

I am in the process of putting my front axle back together after some chassis repairs.

My question is that my drag link and steering arm sit above the arms on the swivel housings with the track rod ends facing down (I hope that makes sense). So the arms on the swivels are fixed at the bottom.

However in my manual it shows the arms fixed at the top of the swivel and the drag link ball joints coming in from below.

Just wondering what the difference is. I can fix mine the other way because they would fail on the leafs.

The arms were moved from top to bottom at one point in production. I think early 2's had them on top.
