Oops. Might've got the lights.
I plan to do this but with a twist. I can't find any Info on the original lights and if optional extra? They look it? I will order 4" led jobs but would rather the older looking ones.

Very, very, very rare grille and lights, they were a genuine parts optional extra, I've only ever seen 2 and only ever known of 1 that came up for sale.

I would imagine that the relative cheapness of driving lamps as aftermarket optional extras fitted by a competent garage could be bolted to the bumper for a fraction of the cost

I quite fancies doing something about my grille but it's a bit of a conundrum with access needed to the winch free spool and clearing the drum, way, way down on my list of priorities at present TBH but it's nice to dream.

Saw some amazing wing mirrors that are huge, heated, extendable and power folding, only available in OZ it seems and also only available for D3 & newer :( but at AUD$900+delivery, no chance that's £500  it did get me thinking though, Ford Tranny MK6/7 short arm mirrors would be a great addition and I'd actually be able to see behind myself when reversing LOL

Weird question but you people will know the answer. I have my tank cradle in and chassis welded up. I'm just about to refit my sedimenter and tank. I want to add a smidge of fuel and see if she fires up. The fuel lines have obviously been open. What do I do to to the above to prevent air in lines and draw only fuel? When assembled you obviously have vent and filler neck..

Oh and forgot my manners sorry. Any info would be appreciated. As always, thank you for your help with this project- it's really coming together now

Lots of cranking.

Also, will I need to block filler neck or will I be fine with that due to that being right at top of tank i.e above the fuel level?

It will be fine, unless you drop something in there........ 10mm socket?
When I was re fitting cradle earlier the rear bolts are really hard to access. I jammed a 17mm spanner in on the bolt head after some swearing. I then got to the point where it was so jammed that I was hoping the mot man wouldn't notice a 17mm spanner hanging out under the bumper :D

Unfortunately and as predicted there wasn't quite enough juice in the battery to get strong cranking going. I've put a good 8 hours in today and am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I ordered 2 sets of hd spring retainers by accident so used one to reinforce my cradle bracket even further. I was stood in the cradle doing bits earlier and it's all rock solid :).
I need to fabricate a bracket for the strap and get that in. Also 2 no. Boot supports which I'll do when I have the boot straps.
Seam sealed everything. Started taping and tidying loom and gave the lot a coat of corroless. One more and she's good I think. Then I'll fill with wax.
All in all, successful day.

I'm painfully impatient. Why I just bought this I don't know when there's chargers at work but atleast I have my own for land rovers. Not much on box but it started charging before I plugged into mains so hoping it cab do it without mains off own battery. Winner if it can. Picture is a mess due to smashed cam.

Cheers. Thanks for all the help and info with it ;)
I thought I'd charge the battery a bit via my Audi as really wanted to get it fired up. Popped the bonnet and couldn't even find the battery
Decided against it and will take into work to charge
Had the same on an Audi RS6 a few years ago when the battery failed, turns out it was under the back seats.
