Was showing what I have remaining from arch. Ok thanks glad you said that. I'll leave that repair where it is then. Onto the roof it is! Think I may get the other wheel off too and start stripping rear axle as bit bored of panel work at the moment. I'll cut remaining boot floor out the side. That arch is a far easier fix. Most of it is still there. The chassis is a different story though.. new spring cup and boot support bracket required

I always work on the principle of doing the easy/large stuff first, then you have a better idea of what the fiddly stuff needs to do.
Also, if you get bogged down in the fiddly stuff, its depressing to still see huge areas to do. (and no end in sight)

I need to make it all visually half tidy again too. When it looks like a wreck and full of junk and rags it just a mess.

What do you think 're rear axle? I'm doing radius arms and a frame joint so considering just taking the lot off and out and try and carry it to back garden to do on the table in garden. Should be liftable with diff out?

i cant..... maybe I am a wuss tho. Better a 2 man job and even then its a struggle

ill deadlift it onto my dolly and wheel through the house and kitchen. My mrs will like that haha. Then I'll fill a vat with either deox bath or vinegar and leave some bits in there!

Think you may be over the other side. How about you come build it whilst I'm having a hernia ok after lifting it haha. Its ok mate I'll get neighbour or mate to help me do it when he's down next week. I will give it a go myself though- I'm sure I could get an end at at time onto dolly with some anger

As per dd advice I'll be buying the bracket with ball joint fitted rather than getting that fcuker out. Saying that I'll still have yo split it won't I...

Only the castellated but and break the taper with a 4lb lump hammer, dit of rope between chassis rails to support it up out the way, then the trailing arms need popped off, brake line, propshaft an ARBs if you have then freely moves out from under the truck, last time I pulled a back axle I lifted the Disco out the way with the loader lol it was easier to do it that way an then fit the whole 24 spline back axle to get rid of the 10 spline original.

This is a typical example of the rust creeping. I was going to patch here but thought it was dubious. Look how much had to come out! View attachment 154878 I'm absolutely cooking and the sun keeps switching on my visor!!!

Come in for 20 mins lol
