So after escaping overheating because the top hose let go ON THE DRIVE I decided to take the opportunity to flush system out.
New hose fitted and system flushed out, According to Mr Haines, I should need 8 Ltrs to fill it back up. I got 5 litres in and ran it up.
Cant get any more in
Should I be scared???????

I have bled the system with the bleed screw and squeezed pipes etc to make sure they are all full. All the pipes seem to be getting hot........
The heater didn't seem to warm up however the temp gauge was still in the blue after about 15 minutes

Is there anything I missed...

if it flows from bleed screw with engine off theres no gain in raising expansion tank , it will need a run to raise temp and get coolant fully circulating

When filling collant i run it up to with the cap off for a while, it'll bleed it through eventually. If you have coolant in the block that'll account for some of it
